1. Please detail over the past three years the number of solicitors who the SRA have brought to the SDT for discrimination and a breach of Rule 1.1 of the Solicitors Code of Conduct?

2. Please detail the number of solicitors over the past three years who were removed from the roll of solicitors because of discrimination and a breach of Rule 1.1 of the Solicitors Code of Conduct?

We have considered this under our Transparency Code:

This is because while we categorise reports at the assessment stage of our
investigation, the same categorisations do not necessarily apply at the
outcome stage: New issues can be identified and allegations removed or
added during the course of an investigation.

 

In order to extract this information we would need to manually review our
files which would take longer than the 18 hours we are limited to in
Transparency Code requests.

 

The Solicitors Disciplinary Tribunal are responsible for hearings where
solicitors can be struck off. They publish their Judgments on their
website which you may find useful:
