Discretionary Blue Badge Disabled Parking

The request was refused by West Sussex County Council.

Dear West Sussex County Council,
Is West Sussex County Council responsible for the Discretionary Blue Badge
Disabled parking bays in the Crawley area.

If so would you publish the complete policy online, to include names of
officers responsible, rules and regulations plus county councillors responsible.

Yours faithfully,

Geoff Lovell

Freedom of Information Act,

Dear Mr Lovell,

Thank you for your enquiry, which has been forwarded to the appropriate officers for a response.

Please note that following a decision by the Cabinet at a meeting on 4th September 2012, FoI and EIR requests to West Sussex County Council and the Council's responses may be published on the Council's website in a suitably anonymised form. This is in addition to the individual response to the requestor, and in line with the Council's commitment to transparency and open data.

Dear West Sussex County Council,

Please pass this on to the person who conducts Freedom of Information reviews.

I am writing to request an internal review of West Sussex County Council's handling of my FOI request 'Discretionary Blue Badge Disabled Parking'.
I will not accept links to some of the information.

I still require the name of the Portfolio holder and the names of Officers operating the Blue Badge Scheme.

A full history of my FOI request and all correspondence is available on the Internet at this address: https://www.whatdotheyknow.com/request/d...

Yours faithfully,

Geoff Lovell

Freedom of Information Act,

Dear Mr Lovell,

Thank you for your request for a review. Before progressing to that stage
I wondered if it might be possible to satisfy your request by adding to
our previous response.

Your original request consisted of two questions:

Is West Sussex County Council responsible for the Discretionary Blue Badge
Disabled parking bays in the Crawley area.

If so would you publish the complete policy online, to include names of
officers responsible, rules and regulations plus county councillors
responsible

The answer to the first question is ‘Yes, West Sussex County Council is
responsible for the Discretionary Blue Badge Disabled parking bays in the
Crawley area.’

The answer to the second question is that: ‘The Council has published the
policy online and has supplied you with a link to the webpage containing
the policy. The Council will not publish the names of all the officers
responsible, but the Portfolio holder is Pieter Montyn, Cabinet Member for
Highways and Transport; the Director responsible is currently Mr Geoff
Mee, interim Director for Highways and Transport.’

I hope this revised answer is satisfactory to you.

Yours sincerely,

Dave Loveman
