Disclosure of documentation to bring civil matters into magistrates courts
Dear Ministry of Justice,
Part II of the Magistrates Courts Act 1980 allows for civil matters to be brought into the magistrates court.
Local court managers are not aware of the procedure of the same.
Therefore, we require the MoJ to disclose the full public procedure to bring a civil claim into the magistrates courts across the United Kingdom.
Yours faithfully,
Ahmed Makda
Dear Ministry of Justice,

Dear Disclosure Team,
The information presented has been viewed before but the information provided does not give procedural guidance, instead is legislatively worded.
I require the local procedure guidance document.
As stated in my request, court managers are not aware of civil matters being allowed to be brought to a magistrates court. So, how is the MoJ helping their local staff in the magistrates court to know of the same? Is there no procedural guidance for staff to refer to when and if a complaint is brought to the magistrates court.
What is the procedural guidance where a member of the public wishes to bring a claim to the magistrates court?
Yours sincerely,
Ahmed Makda
