Dear Liverpool City Council,

Please pass this on to the person who conducts Freedom of Information reviews.

I am writing to request an internal review of Liverpool City Council's handling of my FOI request 'Disclosure of all cases that Brabners Solicitors have acted for on behalf of LCC.'.

As I require this information under my FOI rights I wish that you answer the following.

1. To simplify my request. Do you hold any electronic information on any cases that Brabners Solicitors have worked on, on behalf of LCC? If so please provide me with the information you hold.

2. If the answer to question 1 is no can you explain to me, why in this electronic age you have no information regarding any cases that Brabners Solicitors have acted on, on behalf of LCC.

3. In light of your unacceptable response can you please utilise the 18 hour time limit effectively as I'm pretty sure you could come up with the required information without trawling through thousands of unrelated cases as you have stated.

4. As I specifically requested this confirmation on Brabners Solicitors actions on behalf of LCC over such a long period, I realise this is such a long period and will change this part of my request from the last 15 years to the last 3 years.

4. I note for my own legal record that the author of this particular FOI response is an A McGuire. Customer Feedback Team. Could you please confirm Is this the same A McGuire who also answers private email responses on behalf of Tony Reeves CEO of LCC? This includes a recent serious Health and Safety related email from myself to Tony Reeves for his undivided attention but was answered by A McGuire!? I wish to stress that this information is all linked to this FOI request and as such is not a seperate issue.

A full history of my FOI request and all correspondence is available on the Internet at this address: https://www.whatdotheyknow.com/request/d...

Yours faithfully,
S. Stalsberg

[ GIVE DETAILS ABOUT YOUR COMPLAINT HERE ]

I requested an internal review ref the above on Aug 15th 2020.

Please look into this request asap. Irrespective of Covid not having a response after 4 months is simply unacceptable.

Yours Sincerely

Surely a simple “name search” on legal contracts could allow an investigator to interrogate the spreadsheet and copy and paste the results?

The suggestion that each contract must be trawled through by hand is laughable, unless Liverpool City Council have gone back to quill and parchment for the contracts.

If Robert Jenrick asked for them by 3pm on Friday, bet the list would soon appear.

They could spend weeks going through thousands of bits of paper ... or, they could pop “brabners” into the xls of payments from LCC, copy, paste and send?
