Mr Richards,

Thank you for your request for information, received 12 August 2013, which
has been considered under the provisions of the Freedom of Information Act

You have asked for...  I would like to know how many discipline case have

and how many of these cases have resulted in dismissal.

My response is below.

Prior to April 2006 there was no central recording system for disciplinary
action as such we are unable to provide figures for disciplinary action
prior to 2006, I have therefore provided figures for both disciplinary
action and dismissal from April 2006 until 15 August 2013.

·         Employees recorded as Disciplinary Action from April 2006 until
15/08/2013  = 739

·         All leavers with recorded as “Dismissed” from April 2006 until
15/08/2013  = 55

I hope you find the information provided useful, however if you have any
further queries please feel free to contact me.

You have the right to ask the Authority to review this response. If you
wish to do so, please set out in writing your reasons for asking and
address them to David Wyatt - Head of Information Management & performance

as to whether the Authority has dealt with your request in accordance with
the requirements of the Freedom of Information Act. If you wish to do
this, you must first ask the Authority to review its decision; and then
