DWP CAXTON HOUSE EXTERNAL HR, Department for Work and Pensions

Thank you for your Freedom of Information request received on 29 April 2014. You asked:-

“Please supply information of disciplinary action taken against Jobcentre/Plus staff for last 5 years, including details by region, and by district for London, reasons, staff grades and outcomes.”

Unfortunately, I am unable to proceed with your request at this stage without further clarification.

Jobcentre Plus was an Executive Agency of DWP which ceased to exist as an organisation from October 2011. It was subsumed into a broader DWP operations function which covers payment of all benefits, including Pensions, together with some additional functions. DWP does still have a network of Jobcentres that are organised on a regional and district basis but other parts of the operational organisation are organised nationally.

Having provided this background information it would be helpful if you please clarify whether you are seeking information about the broader DWP operations or just the network of jobcentres for the period from October 2011 onwards

Please note that if I do not receive appropriate clarification of your information requirements within three months from the date of this letter, then I will consider your request closed.

If you have any queries about this letter please contact me quoting the reference number above.

Kind Regards,

DWP HR Central Freedom of Information Team Department for Work and Pensions| Human Resources| Level 7, Caxton House, 6-12 Tothill Street. London. SW1H 9NA

Dear DWP CAXTON HOUSE EXTERNAL HR,

Yes, sorry, by Jobcentre/Plus staff, I mean those people who work in the big buildings with the green, white and yellow signs which say 'Jobcentre Plus' on them.

I hope that helps.

Yours sincerely,

R S Van Spall
