Dear Sir

Please find below the response to your request under the terms of the
Freedom of Information Act:

a) For the financial years 2009-10, 2010-11, and 2011-12, total Parish
Council expenditure/budget for the provision of disabled access to the
Parish Council’s office and services.

Whilst no specific budget provision, or expenditure, has been made in these
periods, the Council has stated that it will investigate funding via grants
for any provisions it considers are required (see c), rather than funding
such provisions by increasing the precept.

b) For 2009 and 2010, details of number of times the provision of disabled
access has appeared on Parish Council meeting agendas or has been the
subject of minuted discussion.

The agendas and minutes of items covered at Parish Council meetings are
available on the Parish Council website - www.deanshangerpc.net.
Those agendas and minutes relating to the latter half of the financial year
2008/09 and to 2009/10 can be found under the heading "Document Archive"
from the home page
Those agendas and minutes relating to the financial year 2010/11 can be
found under the heading "Minutes and Agendas" from the home page

c) Copies of the Parish Council’s disability access statement, policy, and
strategy.

Whilst the Parish Council does not currently have an access statement, a
Working Party has been preparing a recommendation for Full Council, to
enable decisions to be made on this. The commissioning of an access audit
report is on the agenda to be proposed at the February 2011 Council meeting.

Yours faithfully

appropriate documents referred to at c; reference to an area of the
website is a bit vague and does not really answer the request.
Please could you let me know within which documents the requested
