Disability Housing
Dear Barnsley Metropolitan Borough Council,
Please answer the following questions and provide the requested information:
Within the past 5 years, what research has been undertaken by the Council into the demand for adaptable and accessible housing for those with disabilities, in particularly those with mobility issues, both wheel chair and non-wheel chair bound, and those with limited or no vision? Please provide a copy of the reported findings and conclusions.
Do any new build home projects currently under construction include the building of bungalows and if so what number of these will be available for rent and what number will be available for sale? Of those available for sale, what number are classed as ‘affordable housing’? Please provide details of the number of rooms, the dimensions of rooms and doorways.
What future new build home projects will include the building of bungalows and what number of these will be available for rent and what number will be available for sale? Of those available for sale, what number are ‘affordable housing’? Please provide details of the number of rooms, the dimensions of rooms and doorways.
