Disability by condition breakdown

We're waiting for I Moreno to read a recent response and update the status.

Dear Department for Work and Pensions,

We are interested in the number of people with physical and mental health disability who
receive Employment Support Allowance (ESA). I have reviewed some of the publications from the past but I cannot find the information I need. I would appreciate it if you could facilitate the following information:

1. The number of people who receive (a) ESA Work-Related Activity Group (WRAG) and (b) ESA Support Group due to mental health or behavioural condition. Please provide a breakdown by condition and provide data from 2019 and 2020.

2. Provide the number of people who receive (a) ESA Work-Related Activity Group (WRAG) and (b) ESA Support Group due to a physical condition. Please present a breakdown by condition and provide data from 2019 and 2020.

3. Provide the number of people who receive (a) ESA Work-Related Activity Group (WRAG) and (b) ESA Support Group due to physical condition caused by an industrial injury. Please present a breakdown by condition and provide data from 2019 and 2020.

4. We would also like to know how many people within ESA have/had COVID or Long COVID Can you tell us how many are in the ESA WRAG and how many are in the ESA Support group?

Thanks in advance.
Yours faithfully,
IMA.
