Diplomatic Immunity

Cathy Fox made this Freedom of Information request to Crown Prosecution Service

This request has been closed to new correspondence from the public body. Contact us if you think it ought be re-opened.

Response to this request is long overdue. By law, under all circumstances, Crown Prosecution Service should have responded by now (details). You can complain by requesting an internal review.

Dear Crown Prosecution Service,

Does the CPS ever prosecute people with diplomatic immunity?
In 2015 how many people were prosecuted that had diplomatic immunity?
How many cases involved sexual abuse?
What countries were involved?

Yours faithfully,

Cathy Fox

Dear Information Management Unit,

Under s 16 FOi act please could you tell me why the CPS does not keep searchable databases of key information about cases. This would surely be a good service to provide the funders of the CPS whether government or untimately taxpayers.

What efforts is the CPS making to embrace digital recording in this modern digital age?

What digital information and descriptors are held by CPS to enable searching for certain types of cases?

Yours sincerely,

Cathy Fox

Seems it is way past time for a chang eof diplomatic status which is being abused, but perhaps that was the intention all along
