Dear Ashford Borough Council,

1. Do you have a 'Digital Team' or other team or person responsible for Digital Activities within your organisation, if so please provide the information requested. If not;
1a) when do you expect to have a team or person responsible for digital in place,
1b) what funds have you allocated for the purpose of establishing a digital team or person,
1c) what funds will you make available within your organisation for future digital activities,
1d) when do you expect to produce and publish a digital strategy or your plans.

2. Please provide the organisational structure chart for your digital team to include job titles and salaries including any payments to external contractors or organisations who are undertaking digital activities on your behalf.

3. Please provide your digital strategy document and list of digital projects you are running now and have planned over the next 48 months broken down by financial years 18/19 and 19/20.

4. Please provide the actual spend on digital projects over the last 12 months to include any payments to external consultancies/organisations and the nature of those payments to include;
4a) the name of the external organisation
4b) the amount paid and over what term
4c) the reason for that payment
4d) the savings and benefits received

5. Please provide the planned spend on digital projects either planned or due to be considered over the next 48 months broken down by financial years 18/19 and 19/20, and for each project please provide;
5a) the planned spend or forecast spend
5b) the reason for this spend
5c) the expected savings or benefits expected

6. Please provide the allocated funds for future digital projects or any funds you have set aside in consideration of digital.

7. Please provide details of where in the organisation the Digital team and digital activity reports to. If it is within the IT department please provide the name and job title of the person responsible for IT. If it is not within the IT department please explain why and who determined this.

8. What savings have you projected/forecast from implementing digital or undertaking digital projects, please provide this over financial years 18/19 and 19/20.

9. Have your board of directors or most senior management team agreed to a digital transformation for your organisation

10. Have you aligned your digital strategy to approaches taken by your direct competition or those within your market sector

11. Please provide details of any training and development you have or plan to provide your workforce around digital and new technology.

12. Please provide the most senior person in your organisation who is i) responsible for Digital, ii) their job title and salary, iii) their qualifications around digital delivery and strategy

existing staff as well as their ‘day jobs’ 1a) when do you expect to have
a team or person responsible for digital in place, 1b) what funds have you
allocated for the purpose of establishing a digital team or person, 1c)
what funds will you make available within your organisation for future
digital activities, 1d) when do you expect to produce and publish a
digital strategy or your plans. 2. Please provide the organisational

18/19 and 19/20. See attached – We are currently introducing a Customer
Service Platform through a company called Abavus, and are currently
compiling a Digital Project list for the next year. 4. Please provide the
actual spend on digital projects over the last 12 months to include any
payments to external consultancies/organisations and the nature of those
payments to include; 4a) the name of the external organisation – Abavus
Ltd 4b) the amount paid and over what term - £151663.75 over two years 4c)
the reason for that payment – Customer Service platform 4d) the savings
and benefits received – Customer efficiencies 5. Please provide the
planned spend on digital projects either planned or due to be considered
over the next 48 months broken down by financial years 18/19 and 19/20,

of digital. Project has £200,000 allocated to it, Abavus payment is taken
from this budget. 7. Please provide details of where in the organisation
the Digital team and digital activity reports to. If it is within the IT
department please provide the name and job title of the person responsible
for IT. If it is not within the IT department please explain why and who
determined this. Please see structure. Robin Jones is the IT operational
manager responsible for IT, The director of Finance (Ben Lockwood) is
responsible for IT. Ben Robinson the Customer Service Manager is
responsible for this project due to its customer value 8. What savings

digital projects, please provide this over financial years 18/19 and
19/20. Efficiency savings will be realised before any financial are taken

and best practice taken to develop the strategy 11. Please provide details

around digital and new technology. Our culture strand of the strategy is
based around our staff and we are currently investigating training for our
staff 12. Please provide the most senior person in your organisation who
is i) responsible for Digital, ii) their job title and salary, iii) their
qualifications around digital delivery and strategy Ben Lockwood is our
Finance Director and Michelle Pecci is Head of Customer Services who are
