Dear Bernice,

Thank you for your request for information received by The University of
Manchester on 24 June 2020 and please find our responses below. Please
note that where you have referenced “trust” or “college” in your
questions, we have taken this to mean “university”.

1. The number of printing devices currently in use within the university
including MFDs, single function printers, photocopiers and print room
devices? 1857

2. In terms of usage, what is your monthly page volumes for both mono &
colour? Not collated centrally.

3. Who are the main manufacturers for the MFDs/photocopiers/printers/Print
production devices in use at the University? Xerox and HP.

4. Who is your preferred channel partner, if any? None.

5. What is the approximate spend on printers, photocopying agreements,
leases and/or rentals and service charges during the last financial year?
£360k.

6. What is the length of the MFD and print room device contracts, and can
you confirm these are Financial Operating agreements? 4 years subject to
contract/lease.

7. Which procurement route or framework was used to procure this service
and what Framework would the college expect to use next? OJEU/Crown
Commercial Services.

8. The named person and their role in your organization is in charge of
the procurement for printing and any managed print contracts? IT Supplier
Management Team, IT Services, Kilburn House, Oxford Road, Manchester M13
9PL.

9. Does the Trust use any Print Management software ? Yes, Xerox and
iPrint.

10. Who supplies your current CCTV services across the Trust and when will
you next review, and who is the lead contact please? The maintenance
services support contracts for the CCTV system are as follows:

Spie Sctshield and Stanley. Both contracts expire in October. Gary
Rowlinson, Maintenance Services Unit, is the lead contact.

11. Can you please confirm the Trust’s "Digital Strategy" for the next 3
years? Increase the cyber aware culture, roll out of O365, increase number
of services hosted in the cloud, zero based trust, network transformation
and move to consumption model.
