Dear NHS Trafford Clinical Commissioning Group, FOI request.

If I do not make it clear, I make this as under the equality act, & reasonable adjustment,
I believe that it is suffice, to see my meaning, & what needs answering please.

If you failed to attend “at the GP surgery appointment”, you can receive a nasty letter.
The letter, can also say, that such missed, at the surgery appointments cost the NHS £150

In any event, I am in total agreement that any appointment should be kept.
A GP appointment, is normally hard pressed into 10 minutes or less, & can take weeks to get.

My FOI request is,

1) Does the GP receive anything for sending out such letters, of did not attend.

2) can you advise the GP recovery, costing / implication, of this, If the patient does not attend at the surgery, can the GP claim anything back, etc, such as funding etc, or any loss back, Such as for lost "at the surgery appointment money", for a patient no show, can GP claim anything in full or part or other, from anywhere including the NHS or CCG etc ?.

3) Further, if was an anytime, all day, telephone consultation tel call from the GP,
If the GP rings & you are not in, or you do not, or could not answer in time, if you have a telephone answering machine, that states, please leave a message, should GP leave a message, such as, Hello Mr/Mrs X, Dr XX called as arranged, please contact the surgery.
Can the GP leave no message, no tel number, & you have no idea they have even rang.

4) Also please advise, can GP recovery, costing / implication, of this, If the patient missed the telephone consultation at your house. Can the GP claim anything back, etc, such as funding etc, or claim any loss back, Such as for lost "telephone call time",
Can the GP claim in full or part or other, from anywhere including the NHS or CCG etc ??.

5) IS THERE ANY REASON, GP letter STATES, YOU FAILED TO ATTEND GP SURGERY,
& NOT, YOU MISSED GP TEL CALL, & then the surgery will not correct their letter or warning.

6) Am I correct to believe, that a GP can recoup an amount or other, for a failed GP Surgery appointment, but that they cannot claim, or they can only claim a reduced amount, for a failed telephone call to the patient. Could you please explain this, & how it works.

7) Clearly if a GP rings you on a specified DAY, but no specified time, & you are not in, that takes a few seconds, & the Dr would then ring someone else.
The questions are, Can the GP claim for any of this, for a, NONE answer telephone call, from CCG, NHS etc. If so how much. I would think that this would be in pence for a wasted tel call, yet GP, letter states MISSED AN, AT THE SURGERY APPOINTMENT ?,
More so, the surgery refuse to alter it, to missed telephone call, & refuse to explain why.

8) If the GP can claim, & deliberately falsely claims for a "missed at the surgery appointment",
when it was , a missed home tel call, if the money the GP can claim, is more, or only,
for the at the surgery visit, rather than a telephone call, is this classed as FRAUD.

9) Please add anything else you think fit, that will help resolve, & define the situation.

Many thanks.

Stan Hope
