Diary of Paul Kingsley

Cathy Fox made this Freedom of Information request to West Yorkshire Police

This request has been closed to new correspondence from the public body. Contact us if you think it ought be re-opened.

The request was refused by West Yorkshire Police.

Dear West Yorkshire Police,

In this article there is clipping from the Times Nov 15 1976 in which a diary of Paul Kingsley is mentioned
https://cathyfox.wordpress.com/2017/01/0...

Do the Police still have a copy of the Diary?
Can you send me a copy of recorded information of the cover of the diary?
Is there a current investigation into the sexual abuses on Paul Kingsley?
Who was the officer in charge of the inquiry at the time?

Yours faithfully,

Cathy Fox

Dear West Yorkshire Police,

Please pass this on to the person who conducts Freedom of Information reviews.

I am writing to request an internal review of West Yorkshire Police's handling of my FOI request 'Diary of Paul Kingsley'.
""Do the Police still have a copy of the Diary?
Can you send me a copy of recorded information of the cover of the diary?
Is there a current investigation into the sexual abuses on Paul Kingsley?""

I believe that it is unreasonable not to confirm or deny whether the police hold the diary.

There is reasonable suspicion that if you do not confirm that the Police have the diary then the police have lost it, and that by using confirm or deny that the police are covering up this fact.
There does not seem any operational reason as to why the presence or absence of a diary cannot be stated.

A full history of my FOI request and all correspondence is available on the Internet at this address: https://www.whatdotheyknow.com/request/d...

Yours faithfully,

Cathy Fox
