Dear Department of Health (Northern Ireland),

I understand following the NI Affairs Committee the number of diabetic amputations are high in Northern Ireland.

Can you tell me how many people have had limbs amputated because of type 1, and separately type 2 diabetes (not sure if this is serious enough though).

How does this compare to the rest of the UK?

Can you also tell me how many limbs each of the amputees lost please in a table please, divided into 1/2/3 and 4.

The timescale is the last five years.
