DHCNI Funding towards Programmes and Projects within the Belfast Trust
Dear Belfast Health and Social Care Trust (Northern Ireland),
Under the Freedom of Information act please can you provide me with the following procurement/financial information <in excel format> requested in the four questions below;
One: How much has been spent by your organisation on promotional merchandise/material for/on each/any of the DHCNI funded/commissioned projects and programmes in the last four years? Including <but not limited to> those referenced on the DHCNI website - https://dhcni.hscni.net/
<Promotional material includes anything that was branded/worn/displayed/ distributed to help promote or communicate awareness of the projects and programmes within your organisation and/or targeted audiences>
Two: How much funding has been provided to your organisation from each/any of the DHCNI funded/commissioned projects and programmes in the last four years? Including <but not limited to> those referenced on the DHCNI website - https://dhcni.hscni.net/
<Funding includes, costs towards staff resource/marketing material/equipment/communications/training/travel/accommodation>
Three: Has any employees within your organisation had to travel outside of Northern Ireland for any trips associated with each/any of the DHCNI funded/commissioned projects and programmes in the last four years? Including <but not limited to> those referenced on the DHCNI website - https://dhcni.hscni.net/
Four: If the answer is yes to question three, how many staff traveled, what was the destination and what was the total cost?
It would be expected that each of the questions above can be answered using procurement/financial/audited processes/cost references and software within your organisation, so that will save on time.
If you have any questions or seek clarity on anything I have asked, please do so by reply.
Yours faithfully,
Dermot

Dear PublicLiaison-SM,
It is the 18th September 2024 and I have not received any update or the information I asked for.
Please can you advise me why there has been a delay? and when should I expect to get the information?
I have been patient and taken into consideration the summer period. But you have breached your own FOI terms and that of legal governance.
Yours sincerely,
Dermot the Designer
Good afternoon Dermot,
Please accept our sincere apologies for the continued delay. I have been
chasing this with the service area but I think the key staff have been on
annual leave.
I am checking in with them to see if they can confirm the reasons for the
continued delay and advise when they will have the completed response.
I will come back to you as soon as I have their answer.
Best wishes,
Hayley

Good morning Dermot,
I refer to your Freedom of Information (FOI) request received on 5 July
2024. Our partial response is now attached for your information.
Please accept our sincere apologies for the delay in providing this
response. The information to respond to the request was not held in a
single location and required input from multiple Service Owners and
Project Leads, with co-ordination of request and responses by Digital
Services. The delay in finalising the request has been as a result of a
misunderstanding against one of the programmes around where the
information was held (and therefore who would be supplying) compounded by
sickness absence within Digital Services Governance Team across several
weeks.
Two final elements are being compiled in conjunction with Finance/Imaging
as a matter of urgency (highlighted in yellow in our response) and these
will be forwarded as soon as it is available.
If you are dissatisfied with the way in which your Freedom of Information
(FOI) request has been handled you may wish to complain. You should
contact Public Liaison Services, Nore Villa, Knockbracken Health Care
Park, Saintfield Road, Belfast, BT8 8BH or alternatively e-mail: [1][email
address] within two months of the date of this response and your complaint
will be considered and a response provided usually within 20 working days
of receipt.
Should you still be dissatisfied with the outcome, you can proceed to the
second review stage by contacting the Information Commissioner, The
Information Commissioner’s Office, Wycliffe House, Water Lane, Wilmslow,
SK9 5AF who will undertake an independent review. It is important to note
that if you refer any matter to the Information Commissioner, you will
need to show evidence of having gone through the Trust’s review process to
try to resolve the matter with the Trust in the first instance.
If you require any further information or wish to discuss, please do not
hesitate to contact me.
Many thanks,
Hayley
