In addition, public engagement on the route is currently underway at the following link: https://lcwip.commonplace.is/schemes/pro...

Routes were determined for development of the LCRCA Local Cycling and Walking Infrastructure Plan (LCWIP) published October 2019 following CA approval on 4th October 2019.

The plan is published at the following link: https://www.liverpoolcityregion-ca.gov.u...

An online survey on cycling and walking attitudes was conducted in the development of the LCWIP, running from 14th December 2018 to 31st January 2019. The Arrive Happy website hosted the survey link and it was promoted via a social media campaign, direct emails to walking/cycling groups and employees. In total, 1722 individuals completed the anonymous survey and 44% of these were Wirral respondents. The findings can be read in the report at the following link: https://static1.squarespace.com/static/5...

Subsequently, the LCR Bike Life report provided information and attitudes from a sample of cycling and non-cycling residents across the City Region (https://www.sustrans.org.uk/bike-life/bi...).

Routes in the LCWIP are strategic origin to destination routes linking housing to destination locations. The roads mentioned above form part of the New Brighton – Birkenhead Route. This route is included within Phase 2 of the LCWIP plan.
