Development land transfer to Homes and communities agency (homes, England)

The request was partially successful.

Dear Department for Environment, Food and Rural Affairs,

A large tranche of residential development land at Defra, Longbenton, over a decade ago, was put up for sale with commercial agents DTZ and included three smaller plots with road frontage to Whitley road, two of them either side of a house (11 Whitley Road). The land attracted great interest but didn’t get sold. The land is now back up for sale after some revised road junction work but doesn’t include the two plots either side of the house.

The information I require is this;

Why was it decided not to include the Whitley Rd frontage land in the transfer to Homes England/HCA? (Any meeting minutes, letters or emails that relate to the decision)

Who is the contact at Defra for information on the two plots not included or person who deals with potential land sale at Defra, Longbenton?

Regards

P Wallace

Yours faithfully,

Peter Wallace
