Dear Surrey County Council,
Please pass this on to the person who conducts Freedom of Information reviews.
I am writing to request an internal review of Surrey County Council's handling of my FOI request 'Details of work carried out to produce a Unitary bid.'.
Request reference 439489 was acknowledged by you and by law a response should have been sent by 16th September. This information is needed to clarify exactly what communication was made with the boroughs and districts.
If you have the time to waste on the work required to prepare your unitary bid and publish literature to be distributed throughout Surrey you have no excuse for not answering this request.
A full history of my FOI request and all correspondence is available on the Internet at this address: https://www.whatdotheyknow.com/request/d...
Yours faithfully,
Richard Smith-Ainsley
Dear Mr Smith-Ainsley

Dear Surrey County Council,
The leaflet promoting the bid that I was referring to was the one circulated Surrey wide covering all the work Surrey had done over COVID plus a lot of other Surrey information. Tim Oliver featured on the front. It was going to be followed by a leaflet re boroughs and districts and was clearly intended to trail the Unitary bid.
So;
What is the cost of that leaflet to residents in Surrey promoting this Unitary bid?
I request a copy of the correspondence between Surrey county council officers and Spelthorne borough council officers made to check the veracity of the claims in the leaflets.
Yours sincerely,
Richard Smith-Ainsley
