As this is an 'interim' position, usually just a few months- wondering how long the position was for? I didn't even see the job on the council website, the barest minimum. I didn't see any papers on why there was even a need for an interim position- or how long the post was for.

The permanent job could have been advertised & nearly be in post by now. Especially as I have in writing from HR that 14 days is all that is needed to advertise a job, in fact normal!!!!

So why go for an interim ? Could it be that there is less oversight over the recruitment process? Then a favoured 'interim' can be slotted in to the establishment seemlessly... Unduly suspicious? nope. All you need do is just put any job on the web site, for 14 days - no one can look at websites on the off chance at that level - so no applicants - well just people you tell...
