Dear Ms Adams,

Re: Freedom of Information Act Request ref: LBH/6173717

Thank you for your request for information received on 06 April 2017, in
which you asked for the following information:

Please provide details of the following payments to Tottenham Hotspur
since 2012.

§  Room Hire costs at £32.000 for what purpose, when and where rooms were
booked and why was surplus space at Council owned properties not used
instead. Please provide copy of authorisation for payment

§  £640,000 to Spurs Charity.  Copy of authorisation and purpose of
payment/s and details of when each was made and out of which budget.

§  Donation to Ladies football charity, copy of authorisation and purpose
of payment/s with details of when each was made and out of which budget.

My response is as follows:

Please find attached spreadsheet setting out the details of these
payments.

Please also note the following:

Re room hire costs - details are provided in column C.

Re Spurs charity – please refer to column D (Clearing Date) for when each
payment was made and column G for 'Budget'.

Re Donations to Ladies football charity - the Council supports a number of
clubs to achieve targets around women/girls, disability, participation,
etc. Note despite the name this team is not directly associated with
Tottenham
Hotspur.

Re ‘copy of authorisation for payment request’ - there are 120 payments
covered in this FOI request all of which have been authorised through the
Council's financial information system. It is not feasible to provide
evidence of individual authorisations, however, the Council's systems and
controls are independently audited and the approvals adhere to the
Council's Scheme of
Delegation.

If you are unhappy with how we have responded to your request you can ask
us to conduct an Internal Review. If so, please contact the Feedback and
Information Team as below. (Please note you should do this within two
months of receiving this response.)
