Dear Cabinet Office,
Could you please inform me how many Cabinet Office Ministerial files have been destroyed instead of being released to the National Archives under the 20/30 year rule during the years of 2016 and 2017

Yours faithfully,

Mr Steve Morgan

Dear FOI Team Mailbox,

So can I just confirm that you are stating that there no records kept of ministerial files that are destroyed by the Cabinet Office review team or other Cabinet Office staff?

Yours sincerely,

Steve Morgan

Dear FOI Team Mailbox,

Could you please answer my query to your reply asap.

Yours sincerely,

Steve Morgan

FOI Team Mailbox, Cabinet Office

Dear Mr Morgan
Apologies for the delay in replying to your follow up query. That is
correct - Ministerial offices routinely destroy records after a period of
time, and only those deemed of historic value are later forwarded to the
archive unit.
