specification for the flood mitigation work on Halam Road, Southwell and
adjacent balancing pond.

My apologies for not getting a response to you as soon as we would have
hoped to.  As you will understand, staff are currently very busy dealing
with flooding emergencies across the County and this has affected the
availability of senior staff.  I hope that the information you have
requested can be provided within the next 2 weeks.

I refer to your recent Freedom of Information request regarding the design
specification for the flood mitigation work on Halam Road, Southwell and
adjacent balancing pond.  May I apologise again for the delay in providing
the response.

Please find attached documents setting out the design specifications as
requested.  Southwell Flood Alleviation project has been through many
different approval processes through its journey and there is no specific
committee report or paper that focusses on the detailed Halam Road
proposals themselves although the need to address surface water flows in
the Halam Road area has been recognised in the project approval process
since its very early days.

However, attached is the Outline Business case for the Southwell Flood
Alleviation scheme. This is the document that helped secure a significant
part of the funding package that supports the catchment wide flood
alleviation scheme.  This document puts the options forward for approval
by the Environment Agency.
