Dear Environment Agency,

Could you please supply details on how to calculate the size (capacity in Metres cubed) of a SUDS pond to support the surface water runoff from a new housing development upto a 1:100 yr return period.e.g. 450 homes covering an area of 22 hectares of previously Greenfield land (GFRO est 90.2L/s).

So when can I expect a response?

Please find attached 2 detailed technical documents that can be used to
calculate Greenfield run-off rates and size of attenuation ponds.  There
is also another document that can help but it is too large to attach to
this email.  Try a Google search for SUDS Manual C697.
