Information request:

Can you please forward me details of any derelict buildings in your
jurisdiction?

If necessary,Ā  can you direct me to other databases or links if you do not
hold the information?

Dear Mary Marlow,

Thank you for your information request. We have completed the necessary
search for the information requested. Our response is now detailed below.

Ā

Can you please forward me details of any derelict buildings in your
jurisdiction?

If necessary, can you direct me to other databases or links if you do not
hold the information?

Aberdeen City Council does not hold a centralised database of derelict
buildings. Certain derelict buildings will have notices served for public
safety and security, however this would not be the case of all derelict
buildings in the ACC area.

The Scottish Vacant and Derelict Land Survey, available at the link below,
may be of interest to you.

We are unable to provide you with information on details of derelict
buildings in our area. In order to comply with its obligations under the
terms of Regulation 10(4)(a) - Information Not Held - of the EIRs, we are
informing you that we do not hold this information. Under Regulation
10(1)(b) of the EIRs, we inform you as to why in all the circumstances of
the case, the public interest in using this exception outweighs the public
interest in disclosing this information to you. We are satisfied that we
do not hold this information and as there is no information held, the
public interest lies with the exception.

Ā

As the information which you requested is environmental information, as
defined under Regulation 2(1) of the Environmental Information (Scotland)
Regulations 2004 (the EIRs), ACC considered that it was exempt from
release through FOISA, and must therefore give you notice that we are
refusing your request under Section 39(2) of FOISA (Freedom of Information
(Scotland) Act 2002). However, you have a separate right to access the
information which you have requested under Regulation 5 of the EIRs, under
which ACC has handled your request.

If you are dissatisfied with the way we have handled your request or the
content of it, you are entitled to ask for an appeal. You can do this from
yourĀ [2]Aberdeen City Council self service account.

For more information on your right to review, please visitĀ [3]Freedom of
Information Review and Appeals.

We hope this helps with your request.

Kind regards
