Dear Mr Nathanail,

Thank you for your request dated 07/06/2016.

Your enquiry was as follows:

I would like copies of all complaints made to the council regarding bus
services since 1st January 2015. Please also supply all related
correspondence and responses where available.

Please see the below Freedom of Information Act 2000 response:

We have now had time to give full consideration to your request detailed
above.

After checking our records we have found that unfortunately the
information you are seeking is not recorded as such, but that this data
may be held by the council under various/other references, because of this
it has been estimated that for the time period and because of the very
general and non-specific nature of the data you have specified, this would
relate to a substantial amount of records that would need to be
individually interrogated to see if the information held was relevant and
then it require a substantial amount of staff time in order  to extract
and collate the data.

This means that has it stands the request has been estimated as being over
the £450 limit set for such requests and is therefore refused for this
reason.

In light of this you may wish to amend your request to limiting the amount
and type of data you are seeking i.e. for example by giving a specific
service for which you are seeking this data.

I hope this now satisfies your request.

However should you require a review of the response you have received to
your FOI/EIR request, please follow the procedure as set out below:-

Stage 1:

If you wish to challenge the response, please send your comments to, and
wherever possible, a copy of your request and the covering letter
enclosing the information or refusing your request to:

Dear Frost,Tracey (Economy, Transport & Environment),

Thank you for your email.

I am surprised to hear that it would not be possible to respond to my request within the cost constraints imposed by the Act. The time period I am requesting is both reasonable and relatively modest (around 18 months). I would have expected a large public body such as DCC to have a Customer Relationship Management system in place capable of interrogation by category.

If this is not possible, please let me know the longest timescale you could respond to fully within the cost constraints imposed. It is important for me to have complaints regarding all bus services so that I can build up an overall picture.

Yours sincerely,

Peter
