I would be grateful if you could please reply with a full list of internal departments at Companies House, and the corresponding email address for these departments.

i.e. the email registrarspowers [at sign] companieshouse.gov.uk belongs to the Registrars Powers department.

If you have an internal reference sheet containing this information, please remit this, otherwise please list all the departments & emails as mentioned above.

Ceri Harnett, Companies House

Dear Mr Johnstone

I refer to your request for information under the Freedom of Information
Act 2000 (FOIA).

Your request is for,

‘a full list of internal departments at Companies House, and the
corresponding email address for these departments.

i.e. the email registrars powers [at sign] companieshouse.gov.uk belongs
to the Registrars Powers department.

If you have an internal reference sheet containing this information,
please remit this, otherwise please list all the departments & emails as
mentioned above.’

Some information you require is already available in the public domain.
The Companies House (CH) pages on GOV.UK contain some direct email
addresses, these pages can be found at
[1]https://www.gov.uk/government/organisati... I
consider that this information is therefore exempt from disclosure.  Under
section 21 of the FOIA, any information that is reasonably accessible to
the applicant, is exempt information under the Act.  In addition, some
teams within CH do not have generic team email addresses, so in respect of
these teams there is no data held.

There are internal teams within Companies House that have specific email
addresses which falls within the scope of your request, however I consider
that these are exempt from disclosure under section 31(1)(a) of the FOIA.
I am of the view that to disclose the individual team names in isolation,
or along with their corresponding email addresses is likely to make CH
vulnerable to crime.

CH is not obliged to provide information if its release would prejudice
the prevention or detection of crime. In this case, I believe that the
release of this information is likely to create a security risk which
could result in the CH systems and data being vulnerable.

As part of my considerations, I have taken into account whether it would
be in the public interest to provide you with the information. I have
concluded that the public interest favours withholding the information.

To be of assistance to the public, CH has a Contact Centre which is the
first point of contact for customers with enquiries. Customer contact is
primarily channelled through the Contact Centre for audit trail purposes
and to ensure efficiency for customers. Few teams in CH are contactable
directly and where this is the case, their details are already in the
public domain on the CH pages on GOV.UK.

If you are dissatisfied with this response, you may request an internal
review. Any requests for such a review should be addressed to me and I
will ensure that it is forwarded to a senior member of CH who has had no
previous involvement in this case and they will undertake the review.

If you are then not content with the outcome of the internal review, you
have the right to apply directly to the Information Commissioner for a
decision. The Information Commissioner can be contacted at; Information
Commissioner's Office, Wycliffe House, Water Lane, Wilmslow, Cheshire, SK9
5AF.

Yours sincerely
