Department for Work and Pensions (DWP) funding for Haringey Citizens Advice Bureaux (CAB)

We're waiting for T. Miller to read recent responses and update the status.

Dear Department for Work and Pensions,

Haringey Citizens Advice Bureaux lists in their “Trustees' Report and Financial Statements for the Year Ended 31 March 2017” the Department for Work and Pensions as one of their principal funding sources. Previous annual reports do not mention DWP as a funding source.
1. Please provide DWP’s funding amount for Haringey Citizens Advice Bureaux for the financial year which ended 31 March 2017 and provided Haringey Citizens Advice Bureaux has received or is receiving further funding from DWP during the current financial year, please provide the amount of funding for the current financial year.
2. Further please specify whether this funding is conditional or unconditional or whether it is dedicated for specific projects and if so, please state which projects of Haringey Citizens Advice Bureaux are funded by the amount(s) received during the past (and current) financial year(s).
3. Please provide/publish through Whatdotheyknow.com the relevant contracts or documents which provide the basis of DWP’s funding to Haringey CAB and which outline the details and possible conditions of such funding.
4. Please specify how DWP’s funding allows Haringey Citizens Advice Bureaux to continue providing confidential, impartial and independent advice regarding the delivery of specific services such as welfare benefits advice and how DWP’s funding does not generate a conflict of interest regarding Haringey Citizens Advice Bureaux’s delivery of welfare benefits advice.

Yours faithfully,

T. Miller
