Department for Transport NPS and flight path scenario included

Angela Baker made this Freedom of Information request to Civil Aviation Authority

This request has been closed to new correspondence from the public body. Contact us if you think it ought be re-opened.

The request was partially successful.

Dear Civil Aviation Authority,

For Heathrow NWR expansion, the Airports Commission considered three future airport operational scenarios: one that minimised the total number of people affected by expansion; one that minimised the number of people newly affected; and one that maximised people’s respite from overflying.

Please provide any meeting minutes, board papers, research or discussion papers, emails or info held by your department discussing or confirming whether any further analysis of the alternative Heathrow NWR expansion flight path scenarios including ‘minimise numbers of people newly affected’ and ‘maximising respite’ have been carried out since the Airports Commission work was published. Also, any further analysis, discussions or other info held on why decision taken to only consider one flight path scenario in the original and revised Aviation NPS, minimising the total number of people affected by expansion through flight path concentration.

Yours faithfully,

Angela Baker
