Dear Robert Scarborough,

Attached is Scarborough Borough Council's response to your Freedom of
Information request 202202050, received 17/08/2022. Please accept our
apologies for the delay in response.

1) copies of all correspondence between (i.e. to and from) the authority
and the Department for Levelling Up, Housing & Communities (DLUHC) within
the time-frame 1st Janury 2022 and the date of your response, in
chronological order concluding with the most recent example first;

A pdf document and an excel spreadsheet are attached containing the
relevant correspondence. This is not in chronological order, but all the
emails are of course dated.

2) copies of any/all Press Release issued by the authority within the same
time-frame (separate PDF, please);

I can confirm that the county council holds this information; however, it
is exempt from disclosure by virtue of Section 21 of the Freedom of
Information Act 2000. This is because the information is already
reasonably accessible to you, as it is already in the public domain. The
information can be accessed here:
https://www.scarborough.gov.uk/latest-news

3) copies of any/all directives/guidance issued to the authority by the
DLUHC (in chronological order, in a separate PDF, please);

This information is also contained in the attached pdf document. The
directives and guidance were generally sent as email correspondence, so
it's not really possible to provide this as a separate document from the
correspondence.

4) copies of any/all directives/guidance issued to the authority by the
External Auditor (in chronological order, in a separate PDF).

I can confirm that the county council holds this information; however, it
is exempt from disclosure by virtue of Section 21 of the Freedom of
Information Act 2000. This is because the information is already
reasonably accessible to you, as it is already in the public domain.
Directions issued by Mazars under the 2014 Act were reported to Full
Council in July 2021 and November 2021, and are included with the council
