Dentistry (A200) Admissions Statistics

The request was successful.

Dear University of Dundee,

I have a request regarding information on the universities dentistry school. All questions are for last years UCAS cycle.
1) How many of the students admitted were studying A Levels?

2) How many of the students admitted were international?

3) How many of each category of students that I have mentioned above were:

i) Rejected pre interview

ii) Rejected post interview

iii) Given an offer
By each category, I am referring to the categories 'A Level students'.
4) For each applicant, can I get their UKCAT score, their GCSE results, degree result or prediction, A Level results or prediction, pre interview score and interview score? If it is not possible to give all the data within the time limit of 18 hours, I would ask the university give me a sample of randomised data such that the time and cost constraints are met.
5) I would also request for a copy of the interview form that the university uses to assess a candidate during the interview for the Dentistry course. This request is applicable for this years entry cycle and I would like the forms for interview for both the undergraduate and post graduate interviews.
6)I would also like to know what the selection process is when determining a candidates suitability for the five year course. If any form is used to assess this, I would also like a copy of this.
I hope that this is not too much trouble for the university and I hope they can meet my requests without too much trouble. If possible, I would like all data to be in an excel format or word or pdf format if possible.

Yours faithfully,
Ayush Kotecha

Dear Ayush Kotecha

Thank you for your request made under the Freedom of Information
(Scotland) Act 2002 (FoI(S)A) for the following information from the
University of Dundee.

Your request

I have a request regarding information on the universities dentistry

1) How many of the students admitted were studying A Levels?
2) How many of the students admitted were international?

Our response
Please refer to the accompanying spreadsheet for questions 1-4.

Question 5:

Concerning additional detail on the interview process, we are unable to
release this information. To place the information you require into the
public domain is likely to prejudice substantially the integrity of the
admissions process.

Per S.16 of the Freedom of Information (Scotland) Act 2002, we can
confirm that:

a. The University holds information concerning the questions and scoring
of interview stations.

b. The University claims that this information is exempt from
disclosure.

c. The University claims the exemption in S.30(c) of FoI(S)A; that
the disclosure of this information would prejudice substantially the
effective conduct of public affairs.

d. The University claims the exemption for the reasons detailed above.

The University is required to have regard to the public interest in
the application of this exemption. The University asserts that there is
a greater public interest in it maintaining a robust and fair
admissions process than in the disclosure of specific elements used in
the interview process. The University also asserts that the release of
this information would not improve significantly the public understanding
of the admissions process given the amount of information already in
the public domain

Question 6:

Selection is based on candidate performance at online Multiple Mini
Interviews. These consist of seven sections, at which the candidates are
scored on their motivation, teamwork, communication, empathy, integrity
and critical thinking by three interviewers. Three of these domains are
used at each station, and candidates are scored from 1-5 for each, giving
a maximum possible total of 315."

your dissatisfaction.  This must be done within 40 working days of
