Dental Schools Financial Sanctions
Dear Department of Health and Social Care,
Under the Freedom of Information Act 2000, I would like to request the following information regarding NHS-funded dental education in England:
1. Are dental schools financially sanctioned for producing too few or too many dentists each year?
2. If so, what are the criteria for applying such sanctions, and how are they enforced?
3. Which body or organization is responsible for regulating and monitoring this process?
4. Is Health Education England involved in setting targets or quotas for the number of dentists produced annually, and how are these targets determined?
I would appreciate it if you could provide any relevant documents, policies, or data on this subject.
Thank you for your assistance.
Kind regards,
James
