I am responding to your request under the Freedom of Information Act 2000,
which we received on 22 June 2017, for information held by the Council.
Your request is as follows:

 

Dear Royal Borough of Kensington and Chelsea, I am asking for information
in regards to a demolition application for Grenfell Tower dated Thursday
22 May 2014 under reference number DEM/14/02401.

 

1. Who was the demolition of the Tower proposed by?

 

2.What plans for tower and residents, if any, was proposed if demolition
was approved?

 

3. Was a decision ever made in regards to the demolition application? and
for what reasons?

 

4. Was the application for demolition still in progress awaiting a
decision?

 

Kensington and Chelsea TMO submitted a Building Regulations ‘Full Plans
application’ on the 05/08/2014 reference FP/14/03563. This application was
made following planning permission being granted for the proposed scheme.
In addition to the Full Plans application, a ‘Demolition Notice’,
reference DEM/14/02401, was submitted on the 21/05/2014. This application
was in relation to parts of the building which were removed as enabling
works to facilitate the building works under FP/14/03563.

 

The scope of the demolition work can be found in the attached Key Decision
Report.
