Dear Birmingham and Solihull Mental Health NHS Foundation Trust,

Thank you very much for your reply to Karamat Iqbal for this request: https://www.whatdotheyknow.com/request/b...

Would it be possible to inquire further about demographics of service users, specifically those who have been detained under the mental health act?

I realise those who have been sectioned can move hospitals around the country to a degree, as well as moving between NHS and private providers - so I would be hoping to look solely at instances where the order was made at a Trust facility in Birmingham or Solihull.

Could you please provide for 2017, 2018 and 2019:

* numbers by ethnicity
* numbers by sex or gender identity

...for those who have been detained under the mental health act at a Birmingham and Solihull Mental Health NHS Foundation Trust facility or by trust commissioned professionals?

Yours faithfully,

Mark Cardwell
