Demand planning guidance
Dear Transport for London,
For bus route planners, there is a guidance on planning bus routes and service patterns. Specifically I want to request on how demand is measured and the guidance behind it on measuring demand i.e developments or increased usage

Specifically demand is measured through data gained from passengers
tapping in on buses giving time, boarding point and routes, and inferred
alighting points, backed up by manual on-bus and off-bus surveys. Future
changes in demand would be forecast via TfL’s strategic models and
information from local authorities and transport assessments from
