Dear Ms Lysiuk

Your request for information ref. SOT-101888 about demand for supported
living and residential care services

We have now considered your request and a copy of the information is
attached below.

The information supplied may be used for domestic or journalistic
purposes.  Its use for commercial gain including issuing to the public,
social media or computer blogs may be subject to the issue of a licence

Request: I am looking for information as to the authorities prediction of
the number of required placements over next 12 months, for adults with LD,
and ASD in the following service types:

* Supported Living

* Residential Care

Response:

Please note: This number is what we think we need now and in the next 12
months and can change at any point within the 12 month period.

The approximate number is 16 new supported tenancies / residential care
and always the caveat is that this can often change and may not always be
accurate.

This is based on current projections, and we would envisage that almost
all of these would be for direct payments / personal budgets and supported
living or shared ownership with support rather than residential care in
line with our recently agreed Learning Disability Strategy where we are
working to support more people to have their own homes, but the same
caveats apply as we start to understand demand better.

If you are unhappy with the service you have received in relation to your
request and wish to make a complaint or request a review of our decision,
you should write to: The Information Rights Manager, Information Rights
Team, Stoke-on-Trent City Council, Floor 2, Civic Centre, Glebe Street,
ST4 1HH, or email [1][Stoke on Trent City Council request email].

the Information Commissioner for a decision.  Before doing this, please
see the following link for guidance from the Information Commissioner
relating to how to use your information rights responsibly and
effectively, to enable you to gain the best outcome from the process -

have already used our internal review procedure. The Information
