Thank you for your request of 21st February 2024 to UK Government Investments’ (“UKGI”) 
Freedom of Information (“FOI”) enquiries inbox.  
 
I refer to your request for information as follows: 
 
I noted that a senior UKGI Director, Andy Butterworth joined UKGI from Deloittes in 2016. Did 
Mr  Butterworth  at  any  time  have  a  role  in  investigating  Horizon  on  behalf  of  Deloittes    in  a 
review  commissioned  by  Chairman  of  POL  Tim  Parker,  at  any  time  prior  to  his  (Mr 
Butterworth's) joining UKGI?   Since his joining UKGI, has Mr Butterworth had any involvement 
in handling matters in relation to the Post Office in his role?   
 
Under the Freedom of Information Act 2000 (the "Act”), you have the right to: 
•  know whether we hold the information you require; and 
•  be provided with that information (subject to any exemptions under the Act which may 
apply). 
 
In relation to the first part of the request, Andy Butterworth did not have any role in 
investigating Horizon whilst employed by Deloitte.  
 
As to the second part of your request, we can confirm that Andy Butterworth has not been a 
member of the UKGI Post Office Limited Shareholder team since joining UKGI.
