Deleting Personal Information Data Protection

The request was successful.

Richard Kavanagh

Dear National Probation Service,

Could you please provide me with following information?

I would like to to know how many employees of your organisation within the last 3 years have been found to have deleted documents, emails or records (or similar) inappropriately.

I am interested in deletions that would materially impact on an information request under the FOI Act, or Data Protection Act or similar request as well as any such deletions carried out during an internal or external investigation such as but not limited to a grievance.

If any employees have been found to have done this, was the Information Commissioner's Office notified of this activity and if not, why not?

Were any of these employees in positions where they should have been fully aware of their consequences, such as HR or Information Management or similar roles / positions?

I am not interested in any employees names.

Yours faithfully,

Richard Kavanagh

Dear National Probation Service,

Please pass this on to the person who conducts Freedom of Information reviews.

I am writing to request an internal review of National Probation Service's handling of my FOI request 'Deleting Personal Information Data Protection'.

Please review your response;

Are you telling me you do not record breaches of the Data Protection Act to ensure civil servants working in the national probation service are complying with the Law?

Are you saying you have no systems in place to record breaches of the Data Protection Act by your employees against service users?

A full history of my FOI request and all correspondence is available on the Internet at this address: https://www.whatdotheyknow.com/request/d...

Yours faithfully,

Richard Kavanagh
