Delays to Moving To Castle House

The request was successful.

Dear Newcastle under Lyme Borough Council,

Please could you let me know the reasons for the delay of your move from the Civic Offices, Library and Registrar Office to the newly-built Castle House. Could you also tell me the additional costs of remaining in multiple sites for longer than expected.

Many thanks,

Yours faithfully,

Mr C Win

Dear Freedom of Information,

This is a very poor response and not in line with the laws of FoI. In turn:

- NBC are not 'merely a proposed tenant'. It is on public record that NBC will consolidate several sites into Castle House. You ate therefore a confirmed tenant.
- The planned move date has been delayed, this is a fact. As such, NBC must be incurring additional costs above those budgeted. You must hold this information and it is this that I requested.
- As a confirmed tenant you must know, and hold on file, the reasons for the delayed move. This is also the information that I requested which you have failed to provide.

Due to these points, and the general non-transparent response, I would like to request a review into this request and the manner in which it has been handled.

Yours sincerely,

R Tontine
