Dear Christine,

Please see the link below regarding HESA and Freedom of Information.

https://www.hesa.ac.uk/about/regulation/...

We do have the data available that you are requesting however our records only go back to 1994/95. It is also our recommendation that you receive data from 1995/96 and onwards as 1994/95 was the first data collected and so the quality is not as good when doing time series analysis. We can provide around 10-15 data figures for free, however since the data you are requesting goes over that limit there would be a charge for you to obtain this data.

Prices vary depending on the time taken to extract and quality assure the data and our minimum price for any bespoke data enquiry is £150 (plus VAT) but the final price will depend on your exact requirements. We can provide you with a no-obligation quote for the data if you are happy to proceed which will take around 5 working days once the specification is agreed. Please also note that we are currently working to a 15-20 working day timescale to supply the data once the contracts have been signed by HESA and yourself.

If you could let me know how you would like to proceed that would be great.

Kind regards

Jessie

Hi Christine,

I have been informed by my Data Protection Office that this data is actually available to download for free on our website.

The data you are looking for is published in the introduction to the Student publication for recent years, and in the main tables for earlier years. All of these are accessible via the publication page here: https://www.hesa.ac.uk/data-and-analysis...

If you have any further questions please let me know.

Many thanks

Jessie
