Definitive Map 1975
Dear Gwynedd Council,
Please could you advise where we can view a verified copy of the final printed Definitive Map for 1975 which we understand is the one you are using currently for footpaths in Gwynedd.
We have tried to view the archive draft and provisional for this but it seems that although they have been documented in your archive records department - when the archive staff went to retrieve these - they found these were missing without any record of where they have gone.

Gwynedd Council headquarters in Caernarfon. Please contact the Rights of
Way Team, [1][email address].cymru to discuss which maps you would
like to view and to arrange a convenient time.
The disclosed information may contain copyright material, and
notwithstanding Gwynedd Council’s disclosure the document may still be
copyright protected. It is important for you to respect any copyright
status that may attach to a particular document. Fair dealing provisions
allow information to be used in certain ways without infringing copyright.
This allows the contents to be debated publicly. Fair dealing allows
disclosure to serve the public interest of increasing accountability and
transparency. Of particular importance is the provision which allows the

Thank you for your reply. However I have already followed your advice and still have not seen a verified dated copy of the final Definitive map which I understand your footpath department have used in 2022/23 for footpath changes in the Dolbenmaen area. We have been told the Definitive map was finalised in 1975 and printed in January 1976 - this is the map we would like to view please. Please advise where this map is located.
