Dear Ministry of Defence,
After reading the latest version of JSP950 667, under section 4 annex k, in the paragraph regarding Spinal Fractures it states " Candidates with resolved spinous and transverse process fractures, or functionally insignificant fractures, are FIT. Any history of other spinal fractures, including wedge fractures of the vertebral body, are normally UNFIT".
I wanted to know what would be classified as "functionally insignificant" and what it means (what types of fracture?) and what types would be UNFIT. If someone was made to be UNFIT for this what sort of evidence would they need to produce to have a successful appeal? or at least an appeal that was at least considered instead of being rejected automatically.
Dear Mr Mehra,
Please see the attached.
