Dear Wirral Metropolitan Borough Council,

Please could I have all data which the Council holds regarding payments made at the Pay & Display machines between 2010-2015 for the Council par park at the junction of Dee Lane and South Parade in West Kirby.

Could you also please confirm what parking charges were in this car park 2010-2015, including the dates where the tariffs changed.

Yours faithfully,

Dear InfoMgr, FinDMT,

Thank you for the prompt reply. As I asked for all available data, can you please confirm whether or not the council holds data on hourly, daily or monthly receipts at the pay & display machines in the Dee Lane car park?

Yours sincerely,

Margaret Campbell

Good Morning

Thank you for your further email.

The figures provided to you are used corporately for reporting processes.
It was believed by the Council that this would satisfy the requirements of
your request. I apologise if this was not the case.

Providing further detailed figures for the five year period requested
would entail an extensive manual exercise. Section 12 of the Freedom of
Information Act states that the appropriate cost limit for responding to a
request by a local government authority must not exceed £450 (calculated
at a rate of £25 per hour, totalling 18 hours of work). Should the
anticipated cost of responding exceed this limit, the authority does not
have to provide the information.

When estimating the time it would take to respond, the authority is
allowed to take into account the time spent determining whether the
information is held, locating said information, retrieving it and also the
time it would take to extract the requested information from the source
document.

In accordance with Section 16 of the Act, to provide you with relevant
advice and assistance, should you wish to receive more detailed statistics
for the car park in question, I would suggest reducing the scope of your
request to cover a considerably smaller timeframe. Should you wish to do
so, your refined request will be passed back to the responding department
who will assess whether a response can be provided within the legislation.

Kind regards,
