Decision to alter Job Centre contact method

The request was successful.

Dear Department for Work and Pensions,

Please can you provide me with any data, documents or correspondence which relate to the decision to change from providing recipients of benefits with a local telephone number to their nearest job centre (i.e. an 01482 number for Brittania House in Hull) to the use of a central call centre which directs enquiries to local job centres.

Yours faithfully,

Harry Raffal

Dear DWP Adelphi Freedom-of-Information-Request,

Thank you for your response which was most illuminating in regards to certain aspects of my query.

However, i clearly asked for any data, documents or corresponds you hold regarding to the decision to be released. For instance if you have full figures for the amount of money to be saved by removing internal switch boards you would be obliged to release this information.
Should you believe the cost to be too great you may of course cite this as a reason for not publishing and we will then discuss what i might have released under the cost barrier. However, i must say now that I do not believe cost would be an insurmountable issue as you must already hold electronic copies of the majority of the documents concerned.
I believe you genuinely attempted to answer my query so as of yet i am not requesting an internal review be held, however, i will be obliged to if you disagree you are compelled to answer this request fully.
Thank you for your time.

Yours sincerely,

Harry Raffal

I request that the internal review incorporates both the reasons for the delay that has occurred and the original response failed to include aspects mentioned in my follow up to your response.

Dear DWP Adelphi Freedom-of-Information-Request,

Thank you very much for releasing the additional documentation you have done. However, at this stage you have still failed to provide any correspondence, for instance between those who developed the project and those who authorised it.
It seems that at the very least this scheme would have involved a letter at some point authorising the commencement of the project. It is possible that these might form emails which have subsequently been deleted or the retrieval of which would incur expense but if this is the case you are explicitly required to inform.
I do appreciate the information you have already released and would like to thank you for your time. However, it is essential that you ensure all relevant documents to my request are released where possible. I appreciate this might take some further time and if this is the case can you confirm you'll address this issue in full within twenty days.

Yours sincerely,

Harry Raffal

Dear DWP Adelphi Freedom-of-Information-Request,

Thank you very much for the documents you have released I do appreciate the efforts you have made to provide me with the relevant information you possess.
However, in the second document you attach the following passage reads:

DMG also recommended that further information on the potential savings from the 2 million calls across 337 Jobcentres would be helpful when the initiative is presented to the Design, Approvals & Governance Council (DAGC) on 1 April 2009 for a proposed combined Gate 0/PDR.

I would appreciate you releasing any records you hold relating to the presentation to the DAGC.

Yours sincerely,

Harry Raffal
