Deaths post Covid Vaccine

Response to this request is delayed. By law, Medicines and Healthcare products Regulatory Agency should normally have responded promptly and by (details)

Dear Medicines and Healthcare products Regulatory Agency,

I have recently received a response from Public Health England for the following question:

Could you please provide the data of deaths within 28 days after receiving a covid vaccine. Could this be broken down to first or second dose, cause of death on death certificate and after which brand of vaccine had been administered?

Stating that they do not hold this information but the MHRA do. I would like to make clear that the information I am requesting is not the figures found on the yellow card reporting scheme, rather the actual figures of people who have sadly lost their life (of any cause) within 28 of receiving a Coronavirus vaccine.

My request is for this information or alternatively the department who holds this information.

I believe this information is available the RT Hon Matt Hancock stated so in the house of commons on 18th March 2021.

Yours faithfully,

Nora Batty

Dear Medicines and Healthcare products Regulatory Agency,

Please pass this on to the person who conducts Freedom of Information reviews.

I am writing to request an internal review of Medicines and Healthcare products Regulatory Agency's handling of my FOI request 'Deaths post Covid Vaccine'.

In accordance with the Chapter 8 of the Green Book:
https://assets.publishing.service.gov.uk...

It is recognised that Adverse Events Following Immunisations (AEFIs) can occur up to 30 days post immunisation. I therefore do not believe that the MHRA has not been collecting data on this for the COVID Vaccines; especially as, the conditions for authorisation state:

Provide the interim analysis and final clinical study reports for study BNT162-01 once available, including data on healthy subjects.

https://www.gov.uk/government/publicatio...

Also I would argue that it would be closely monitored due to the fact AEFIs were reported in the trial itself 37 days post immunisation:

Throughout the safety follow-up period to date, acute peripheral facial paralysis (or palsy) was reported by four participants in the COVID-19 mRNA Vaccine group. Onset was Day 37 after Dose 1.

https://www.gov.uk/government/publicatio...

If you could provide details why the MHRA is not closely monitoring this even with the evidence I have presented I would be greatful.

A full history of my FOI request and all correspondence is available on the Internet at this address: https://www.whatdotheyknow.com/request/d...

Yours faithfully,

Nora Batty
