Dear Home Office,

I would like to find out the following information for the last 20 years (or the extent of your records in this matter).

- Details of visitors to the UK who have died whilst visiting the UK under a Student Visa
- Details of visitors to the UK who have died whilst visiting the UK under a Tier 4 (general)visa

Where possible I would like to know the date, location of their death, gender, age, cause of death and sponsor institution.
If you could provide this information in digital form, preferably in a spreadsheet format, that would be very helpful

Yours faithfully,

Andy Dickinson

A very long time to respond to a request with a very limited amount of information. I'm not convinced that the reason (more than £600 worth of work) explains the lack of information e.g. I find it hard to believe the details of the sponsor institution are not held as a discreet field in the records. Still, the numbers suggest that a request for a year or two would be doable within the cost constraint.
