Dear Child Maintenance Service,

Please pass this on to the person who conducts Freedom of Information reviews.

I am writing to request an internal review of Child Maintenance Service's handling of my FOI request 'Deaths of Paying Parents - 2018/19'.

I believe that you are misusing the Freedom of Information Act (2000) in order to deliberately prevent the release of this information, and erroneously attempting to claim a s12 exemption. Should this be the case, this is clearly malfeasance in public office.

For the avoidance of doubt, I know the computer system that is used to manage existing and closed child maintenance cases, and that appropriately-authorised staff can easily run a wide range of MI reports using OBIEE. With that in mind, you cannot possible estimate that the time to run a simple filtered report for six different financial years would take 3.5 working days. If that truly were the case, it only goes to highlight the huge inefficiencies being run in your organisation, and a gross waste of taxpayer funding.

Yours faithfully,

Jonathan Allison

This is interesting and similar to information I had them disclose that lead to my report on excess death in CMS and the link to inability to pay, you can find it here www.STOPcmsdrivingsuicide.org
