Death threats received by Professor Jones
Dear University of East Anglia,
It was reported by the Daily Telegraph (8.45AM, 7 Feb 2010) that Professor Phil Jones had received death threats following the release of CRU emails in 2009:
http://www.telegraph.co.uk/earth/environ...
"Prof Jones said he was knocked sideways by the worldwide outrage that followed the leaking of the emails. (...) Although he has received some high-profile support for his work, he is still receiving death threats, with two more arriving last week after the deputy information commissioner delivered his verdict."
Please supply copies of ten death threats received by Professor Jones, including the two that arrived after the information commissioner delivered his "verdict".
Yours faithfully,
M. Ackroyd

Dear Freedom of Information,
I have received a reply to my request.
For your information: Freedom of Information informed me:
" University of East Anglia have delayed.
They have not replied to your FOI request Death threats received by
Professor Jones promptly, as normally required by law.
Click on the link below to send a message to University of East
Anglia reminding them to reply to your request."
However, UEA replied, stating that their reply was not in fact delayed:
"14 June 2012
Mr./Ms. Ackroyd,
Thank you for your communication below. We are finalising a response which you should receive today. For your information, the 20 working day period for a response extends from the day after receipt of the request (i.e. Day 1) leaving a deadline in this case of 14 June 2012."
Maybe the occurrence of a bank holiday explains the difference?
In any case, I am pleased to have received the information I requested.
Yours sincerely,
M. Ackroyd
Mr/Ms. Ackroyd,
I have reviewed our records on this request and have discovered that the date of receipt of the request noted in our request tracking system (and reported to you in our letters of 15 May and 14 June 2012) was, in fact, incorrect by one day. The date of your email containing your request was, in fact, 14 May 2012 albeit late in the evening. The request was not viewed until the next day which may explain the error in recording the date of receipt of the request. Our interpretation of the Act is correct but the date we started from was incorrect. Apologies for any confusion caused and we will endeavour to eliminate any such errors in future.
Yours, Dave Palmer
