You emailed us on 20 March to say you are requesting an internal review because the request is "now overdue". This request was received by the IOPC on 19 February 2021, meaning that the twentieth working day following receipt is today, 22 March. Therefore we do not agree that the request is overdue.

Dear Mr Williams

Thank you for your email. We note that you did not provide any representations when requesting an internal review on 22 March 2021. You said only that you were requesting an internal review even though we have said on numerous occasions that we will not progress our review until we have heard from you with the specifics of your complaint. We consider this to be a reasonable approach with your review requests given our previous correspondence relating to very similar requests. We conclude, therefore, that you must be well aware of our requirements.

However, as you appear to be persisting with your requests for detailed background evidence from IOPC investigations we have decided that on this occasion we will carry out a review without any representations from you.

We will begin working on the review straightaway and contact you again as soon as we can.

Yours sincerely
