Response to this request is long overdue. By law, under all circumstances, Ministry of Defence should have responded by now (details). You can complain by requesting an internal review.

Dear Ministry of Defence,

Please supply details, including autopsy report, regarding the death by negligent discharge for Private John Connor 1st battalion the Duke of Wellington's Regiment Palace Barracks, Belfast 1988.

Dear Ministry of Defence FOI officer,

After studying your reply am I to understand that no documentation or notes from RMP or SIB officers exist for this incident?
To be clear, there are absolutley no case notes or information from any military source whatever?
From your reply you state, "Ministry of
Defence holds only limited records relating to your request"
This would suggest that records do exist. Before asking for an internal review I would ask again for all RMP/SIB records regarding the killing of Private John Conner on 24 Feb 1988.
Please feel free to redact any sensitive information.
Respectfully,
Robert L. Hayhoe

Yours faithfully,

Robert Hayhoe
